Nanofibers to help regrow blood vessels?

Researchers at Northwestern University have developed a type of nanostructure that promotes the growth of blood vessels. The nanostructure is able to mimic vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) to promote growth of blood vessels. The development shows potential for creating increased blood flow to damaged tissue.
