Nanogenerator Powered By Body Movements

Professor Zhong Lin Wang from Georgia Tech has developed a flexible nanogenerator that uses body movements to generate electricity. Professor Wang and his team has announced new developments to the nanogenerator that improve its power enough to drive commercial liquid-crystal displays, light-emitting diodes and laser diodes. The technology uses zinc oxide nanowires, which can generate currents when bent or strained.
