Vault Nanoparticles for Targeted Drug Delivery

UCLA scientists have come up with a new option for targeted drug delivery, vault nanoparticles. These vaults are essentially “barrel-shaped nanocapsules with a large, hollow interior – properties that make them ripe for engineering into drug-delivery vehicles.” The nanoparticles are able to avoid immune response while traveling to target sites to deliver drug contents.
