Nanoparticles Deliver Targeted Antibiotics

As bacteria become increasingly drug-resistant, a team from MIT and Brigham and Women’s Hospital have developed nanoparticles capable of delivering high doses antibiotics straight to infection sites. The nanoparticles are able to bypass the human immune system and target specific sites, protecting beneficial bacteria in our bodies.
