3D Lens for Microscope

Engineers at Ohio State University have developed a new 3D lens that captures scenes from nine different angles to create one image. The lens, about the size of a fingernail, looks like a rhinestone and can even record 3D images of the tip of a ballpoint pen (about 1mm in diameter). The lens has potential for use in the medical testing industry or to study live cellular interactions in the future.
