Bionic Hand from Mercedes F1 Team

Matthew James, a teenager who was born without a left hand, sent a letter to the Mercedes’ F1 team for £35,000 to pay for an artificial limb. Instead, the team agreed to help James by working with Touch Bionics to create a new, customized i-LIMB prosthetic, currently the most advanced prosthetic limb in the world. The new hand is powered by multiple motors and allows for the user to draw, write, catch a ball and even tie shoe laces.
