‘Fukushima Plate’ to detect radioactive food

The ‘Fukushima plate’ developed by German designer Nils Ferber detects whether food is safe to eat. Developed after the disaster in Japan, the plate has three concentric rings on the rim that light up to show radiation levels in food. A red light shows the food has too high a level of radioactivity and is unsafe to eat.
