Medical Mirror

Ming-Zher Poh, an engineering graduate student at MIT has developed the Medical Mirror, a device that can measure health indicators of a person with no contact. By simply using ordinary low-resolution webcams and infrared LEDs to monitor heart rate. The Mirror is able to read visual information from the target, or multiple targets, even if he/she is not standing still. Audio signal-processing techniques work around visual distractions like movement and lighting variations.
