Monkey controls robotic arm through brain implants

The Brain-Computer Interface Research Team at Zhejiang University in China is developing an interface that will allow users to use their brain signals to move physical objects. Researchers have been working with Jianhui, a monkey that has implanted chips in his brain and is able to move a remote robotic hand that mimics his movements. The team has announced that they have successfully captured and deciphered signals from the monkey’s brain to convert them into real-time robotic finger movements.
