Robotic Arm for Stroke Patients

A new robotic device, ArmAssist, has been developed by researchers from Spain. The device is paired with a video game software platform for tele-rehabilitation to help patients with “neuromuscular disabilities, such as stroke victims, regain function.” The video games act as training and evaluation exercises for patients and doctors are able to monitor game performance through the computer program and internet connection.
