TELESAR V telexistence robot system

A research group at Keio University is developing the TELESAR V, a telexistence robot system that operators are able to use to interact with the remote environment. The system would allow physicians and other health care providers to examine patients remotely and be able to use “hands” and “eyes” that move and see. The robot is able to transmit sight, sound, touch and even temperature.
