Wireless Heart Implant

CardioMEMS has developed a wireless sensor to measure the fluid pressures in the pulmonary artery. These sensors send data wirelessly and directly to physicians who are then able to adjust medications earlier on to reduce hospitalizations by 39 percent. The device is designed to be implanted in the pulmonary artery where there is a low risk of clotting.
