UMSkinCheck Checks for Skin Cancer

University of Michigan researchers have created an iPhone app, UMSkinCheck, that screens for skin cancer.  The screening involves taking 23 nude photos of oneself with a smartphone – pictures that will require someone else to take.  The app reminds and walks users through self-exams and track any concerning lesions.  UMSkinCheck also includes a risk-assessment quiz, examples of concerning skin lesions and reminders to check for signs of cancer.
