Electronics at your fingertips, literally

Engineers at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University and Dalian University of Technology in China are developing tiny electronics that may soon be embedded into surgical gloves.  The flexible, silicon-based electronics will work with soft sensors to create a glove that may identify any tissue and ablate it without the help of another instrument.  The technology is also projected to be used in other applications including a variety of human-machine interfaces.
