LoJack, a company known for their car tracking devices, is expanding its technology to help patients with cognitive conditions. Caregivers for loved ones with Alzheimer’s, autism, dementia or other cognitive conditions are often worried about the potentially life threatening behavior of wandering. The LoJack SafetyNet is a simple bracelet or ankle-worn device designed to help find anyone who is lost. The device uses radio frequencies to track the wearer and when lost, trained officers from local police departments can track the radio frequency signal to find the individual.
