Humanoid Robot with Lifelike Bones and Muscles

Researchers at the University of Tokyo are developing bio-inspired robots that closely reflect the musculoskeletal system found in humans. The Kenshiro Robot is an improved version of the previous Kojiro robot from 2010 and most closely resembles the human form. Kenshiro takes its looks from the body of the average Japanese 12-year-old male. The robot includes all major muscles in a human with pulley-like devices. Not only does the robot attempt to mimic the musculoskeletal features of a human, it also reflects the same weight ratios of the human body.
