Argus II Bionic Eye

The FDA has recently approved the Argus II bionic eye from Second Sight for treating Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). The device helps partially restore sight by capturing images with an integrated camera, processing the image via computer, and then sending the signals to an implant. The user’s working retinal cells are then stimulated enough to restore some degree of sight.
