Robotic Arm with Tactile-Sensing Moves Intelligently

Researchers from Georgia Tech’s Healthcare Robotics Lab and Meka Robotics have developed a way for robotic arms to have a sense of touch. With whole-arm tactile sensing and compliant robotic joints, the new technology allows the arm to navigate through “clutter” and grab a desired object. The system helps users perform daily tasks with increased safety.
