Mind-Control Holds Promise for Future Health Applications

A team at University of Minnesota has revealed a drone, which can be controlled simply by thought. The current drone is a simple four-blade helicopter and it is controlled by a user wearing an EEG cap. The cap is able to track a person’s electrical activity in the brain and transmit the signals as commands directed at the drone through WiFi. Future implications of the technology can extend to increased mobility and ease of living for individuals with spinal cord injuries or any other disability.
