Modular Prosthetic Limb

Johns Hopkins University and the University of Arizona researchers have teamed up to develop the Modular Prosthetic Limb (MPL). Containing over 100 sensors, the prosthetic arm is able to move with nearly as much dexterity as a natural arm and users are able to control the arm’s movement using just their thoughts. The MPL is able to replace any amputated limb regardless of injury level. The video above shows a user demonstrating the movement and capabilities of the MPL.
