The Bradley Timepiece for the Blind

The Bradley Timepiece from Eone Timepieces is designed to be a “touch and see” watch for the blind. The watch replaces traditional watch hands with one ball bearing on the side representing the hours and another ball bearing on the face representing the minutes. Users simply touch the watch face and perimeter to locate the ball bearings and determine the time. Magnets inside the watch help move the ball bearings every minute and hour. The above video shows a demo of The Bradley and the second video includes user feedback on the new watch interface. Though the goal of the project was to bring improved timepieces for those who are visually impaired, anyone who wants to tell time without looking can make use of the Bradley.
