Heapsylon, a company from Redmond, Washington, is developing the Sensoria Smart Sock activity tracking system. The Sensoria system includes a magnetic anklet, a washable smart sock that is embedded with pressure sensors, and a smartphone app. Like most fitness trackers, the system tracks altitude, calorie estimation and step count. Sensoria is also able to track stride frequency, stride length and foot loading patterns. This feature is aimed at preventing running injuries due to poor food loading and the company has consulted many professionals to improve the accuracy of this feature.
